It has happened again. The Christmas season for our part of the world is in full swing. Something is about to take place that happens every year. Everything slows down. It's beginning now and will continue until after the New Year. I wonder how many of us waste this built in, relax and renew time? The stores close for a day, most companies close and we find ourselves gifted with our most valuable commodity…time. The question is what will we do with our gift?
In our home, we will celebrate the birth of Jesus. We will love each other by enjoying (some are easier to enjoy than others) spending time together. But I want to do more. I want to use this time to reflect on who I consider to be the greatest leader who ever lived. His philosophy of leadership has proven to be effective for centuries. No matter your religion or belief, the evidence is solid that Jesus was an incredible leader of people. He is much more than that to me and I will spend a bit of my gift of time on growing my relationship with Him.
I hope you stop and reflect on this season. Take the gift of time and use it wisely. Every leader needs time to reflect and renew. I promise, it will make a difference.
